The man had been hiking in the woods for hours, trying to find his way back to civilization. But the deeper he went, the more lost he became. The trees seemed to close in around him, and the shadows seemed to grow darker.

Just when he thought he couldn’t take it anymore, he heard a blood-curdling howl. He spun around, but there was nothing there. He knew, deep down, that it was a skinwalker, a creature that could take on any form it desired.

The man’s heart raced as he began to run, trying to put as much distance between himself and the creature as possible. But it was no use. He could hear the beasts footsteps pounding behind him, getting closer and closer.

Finally, in a last ditch effort, he veered off the trail and into the dense underbrush, hoping to lose the creature in the thick foliage. But instead, he stumbled upon a cave hidden deep in the woods.

As he stepped inside, the man was greeted by the sickly sweet smell of decay. He shone his flashlight around, and what he saw made his blood run cold. The cave was filled with animal carcasses, their bodies torn and mangled. And in the corner, he saw a human body, a woman, lying lifeless on the ground.

Just as the man was about to turn and run, he heard a faint screaming. It was a woman’s voice begging and pleading for help. It was coming from deeper within the cave. Without hesitation, the man raced towards the sound, determined to save whoever was in danger.

But as he ran deeper into the cave, he knew he had made a grave mistake. The monster was waiting for him, its teeth bared and its jaw unhinged to reveal a dark endless void leading into its stomach. The eyes glowing with malevolence and glee at the thought of its next meal.

The man tried to fight back, but it was no use. The creature was too strong, and it easily tore his flesh from bone. Devouring his body and drinking down his blood. As the man’s screams echoed through the cave, the skinwalker took on his form with a slight smile.

When dawn broke, it emerged from the cave and walked onto the main road, where it was picked up by a passerby, the gentle man thought he was being a good citizen and he drove to town completely unaware of the monster that sat next to him.
